The career for Brisbane-based indie rock band Cub Sport all started with a pooch. Their debut single was named after lead singer Tim Nelson’s dog, Evie, who often makes appearances on the band’s Snapchat stories. They were known as Cub Scouts then, before the international Boy Scouts organization forced them to switch. After two EPs, a name change, a lineup adjustment, and their debut LP release this past March, Cub Sport will be touring the US this June! Thrillcall is excited to announce ticket giveaways for each stop along the way; see the full tour dates below!

Cub Sport’s upcoming US tour will be in support of their debut LP, This is Our Vice, out on Nettwerk Records. The record received critical praise from Hilly Dilly, The Wild Honey Pie, Indie Shuffle, Blah Blah Blah Science, Popmatters and more. The album landed on the CMJ charts as the 10th most added record the week of impact and maintained in the top 100 on the chart for weeks after.
The group, comprised of Tim Nelson (lead vocals), Zoe Davis (guitar), Dan Puusaari (drums) and Sam Netterfield (keyboard), will also go to the UK/Europe later this month for a few dates which include performances at the London Calling festival in Amsterdam, the Camden Rock Festival and Communion night in London.
