One of LA’s most highly anticipated festival lineups is finally here- and FYF Fest 2016 is going to be lit. The festival will take place at the end of the summer, August 27 – 28, at Exposition Park near USC. The headliners include Kendrick Lamar, Tame Impala, LCD Soundsystem, and Grace Jones; see the full lineup in the graphic below. Tickets will go on sale this Friday, April 1st. Track FYF on Thrillcall to get an alert as soon as tickets become available!
The lineup this year is an eclectic mix of established acts and up-and-comers, many of whom have new music coming out this year. Saves the Day have a special set where they will perform their highly-acclaimed third studio album, Stay What You Are. Ty Segall will be performing with his current touring band, The Muggers, which lent their name to his latest album, Emotional Mugger, as well. Floating Points is also on the bill for FYF, but if you aren’t in LA, we will have tickets to win for their upcoming tour! Check back in mid-April for more information on those giveaways.
FYF Fest (which stands for “F*ck Yeah Fest”) is an annual two-day music festival held at the Los Angeles Sports Arena & Exposition Park in Los Angeles, California. It was founded by Sean Carlson in 2004 and is produced by Goldenvoice, a subsidiary of AEG Live. The event showcases many genres of music, including rock, indie, electronic, as well as art installations and sculptures. The festival also has its own night market where people can buy food while watching the concerts.
