Last week Jay-Z announced he’ll curate and headline Made In America, a two-day music festival in Philadelphia on September 1st-2nd. Having already bought Beyonce an island, started a record label, a clothing line, and groomed rap’s biggest
ego star (Kanye West), it seems fitting that Jay-Z is taking on the next big thing: a festival for a cause. Supported by Budweiser and Live Nation, the festival will donate all proceeds to the United Way.
Tickets go on sale tomorrow. The lineup thus far includes Skrillex, Pearl Jam, Odd Future, Maybach Music Group (featuring Rick Ross, Wale and Meek Mill), D’Angelo, Calvin Harris, Miike Snow, Afrojak, Rita Ora, Janelle Monae, Prince Royce and Santigold. The festival trailer (featured below) states there will be 28 performances, which means this is under half the total bill.
Since Skrillex is already billed, who else do you expect will be billed?
