We’re bringing our app to LA, which means we’re going to party like rockstars. The mayhem begins at the legendary Roxy Theatre where legends like Bruce Springsteen are remembered, and stars like Nirvana, Guns & Roses, and Jane Addiction were born. A party isn’t a party without a star, and Nico Vega, isn’t just that–they’re local celebrities. Lead singer Aja Volkman has been compared to Karen O, Joan Jett and Janis Joplin, but forget her gender she wears her voice on stage like Steven Tyler. Their self-titled debut studio album in 2009 catapulted them front center with TV appearances, and tours with the likes of Gavin Rossdale, Semi Precious Weapons, The Soundtrack of Our Lives and Metric. Rumor has it a new album is in store and if you’re lucky tomorrow night they might play a few tracks (but, don’t take my word for it). Make sure to get there early for performances from Bay Area’s Loquat and LA up-and-comers Standing Shadows and A House For Lions.
While tickets are still available, there only a few early bird tickets left that let you to meet the band before their set. And for you LA folks, unfamiliar with our app, all you need to do is download the app, and with just two clicks you’ve got your tickets.
And for you rockstars that don’t sleep, after we thrash The Roxy we’re taking the party to The Viper Room’s VIP lounge (downstairs) for DJ sets, performances and an open bar. Get tickets for both The Roxy and The Viper Room party with our “Two Pass.” Better get some sleep tonight.
