Metallica have announced that they will curate their very own Orion Music Fest in Atlantic City, set for June 23-24, 2012 at Bader Field. Metallica will headline both nights of the festival, with special sets that will include the entirety of The Black Album and Ride The Lightning. The Sword, Liturgy and Avenged Sevenfold round out the metal part of the bill.
After that, the handpicked festival lineup veers sharply into the indie rock world. The rest of the lineup: Arctic Monkeys, Modest Mouse, Fucked Up, The Gaslight Anthem, Best Coast, Titus Andronicus, Cage the Elephant, A Place to Bury Strangers, Roky Erickson, The Black Angels, Hot Snakes, and Gary Clark Jr.
Tickets go on sale February 11th at 10AM EST, and they’ll set you back $150 for the two-day pass. 22+ artists will play the festival, with the rest to be announced soon.
