Fauxchella lineup 2012

You don’t have to empty your wallet, withstand desert heat, or take time off from work to enjoy Coachella. Not if you live in the Bay Area. Over the next three weeks many Coachella artists will pit stop en route to and from the festival creating “Fauxchella.” Thanks to Coachella’s radius clause, which restricts performing artists from playing in Los Angeles within 30 days of the event, Bay Area folks can enjoy the quasi bastard festival with fog and mild temperatures that we’re acclimated to.  As you may have noticed (above), we’ve assembled a poster to help you keep track of the show dates (here’s a link for the full Fauxchella lineup and venues).

Word has it that many Fauxchella shows are “sold-out.” Don’t take our word for it, but I’d  suggest  you check back with us daily for “news,” photos, and reviews because as we’ve told you before, sold-out means nothing to Thrillcall. And if there’s a show you fancy, say Miike Snow, Andrew Bird, Metronomy, or Childish Gambino–and you don’t want to pay a scalper’s price (and why should you!), then consider this a nudge to share our app so you and your friends will learn before others when tickets go on sale (because who knows, we may have some–but there’s certainly not a lot).
