If you haven’t heard much of indie folk rock sensation Ben Howard, then it won’t be long before you do. Born in London, Ben Howard moved to Devon, growing up listening to the likes of Bob Dylan and other folk icons he began writing his own songs at a young age. After various shows and television appearances across the UK, this British star signed with Island Records. His first studio album Every Kingdom was released in 2011 and launched his music in America in April of this year.

The Fillmore has seen acts such as the The Doors, The Who, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix and many more. But now it’s Ben Howard’s moment. British newcomer wowed the crowd, playing fan favorites “Old Pine” “The Wolves” and “Keep Your Head Up”. I had never seen him live before so couldn’t be sure that it would be as amazing as his album. However, the entire audience sang along, and if I closed my eye’s I felt like I was actually in the recording studio with him. With his soft folk rock styles, similar to Ed Sheeran, Bon Iver and Jack Johnson; there’s a tone that just makes you feel like you can reach out and touch the song. With delicate guitar lines, and beautiful vocals. We strongly recommend seeing Ben Howard, hear his song “The Wolves” below.
