For their first show in the Bay Area since 2010 (a fact that bassist Gary Jarman said was “kind of bullshit”), The Cribs rocked San Francisco’s Great American Music Hall on Saturday night.  Opening with “Chi-Town” from their latest album, In the Belly of the Brazen Bull, the English trio played loud and fast, with raw energy and impeccable stage presence.  Much to the delight of the intimately sized crowd, the band performed older favorites such as the hit “Hey Scenesters!” and “What About Me” as well as a string of new songs.  Here’s to hoping San Francisco won’t have to wait too long for another visit.
