Helmet, a band that gained much prominence in the mid 90’s; but broke up in ’98, are teaming up with the Toadies for a another chance to shine. Page Hamilton, the frontman for Helmet, has been with the group since it started and has seen the members change over the years, but the band didn’t skip a beat. Helmet released a new album in 2010, Seeing Eye Dog, which did receive a great reception overall. The Toadies reunited in 2008 to release No Deliverance, an album that totally rocked, especially the title track. They were slated to release a new EP, Play.Rock.Music this year but decided to delay it and make it a full-length. Also coming along for the ride is Austin-based UME, who I had the pleasure of seeing at Great American Music Hall and totally rocked my world! Check out the dates for this powerhouse tour below:
