Old Crow Medicine Show (OCMS) has announced their newest album, Carry Me Back, releasing July 17 through ATO Records. Described primarily as a bluegrass band, OCMS has crossed the aisle into country, relocating to Nashville and finding themselves gracing the stage of the Grand Ole Opry, touring with Merle Haggard and regularly appearing on NPR’s A Prairie Home Companion. They also are appearing in a tour documentary Big Easy Express, which screened recently at the Nashville Film Festival. The movie documents last year’s Railroad Revival Tour, which featured OCMS on tour with Mumford & Sons and Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros on a tour across the US, where the three bands travelled together on vintage train cars, playing rambunctiously fun shows at stops along the way.
