Summerstage in New York City announced their 2012 lineup today. The all summer in the park (mostly) free performances certainly will make you jealous if you don’t live in Big Apple (at least we are). Those that are not jealous, either like electronic music or metal, but for all those crazy folkers, hip hop heads and indie rock fans you’re in for a treat.  This year’s lineup includes free performances from: Bobby Womack, Dawes, Gary Clark Jr., Alabama Shakes, Willis Earl Beal, Kurt Vile, Amadous & Miriam and many more. The performances begins in June and go through August. For a full list and calendar check out the Summerstage website.

For those with some extra cash, their are some popular names playing for a fee including: Young The Giant, Beach House, M83, Foster The People, , Childish Gambino, Norah Jones and more.

Below are some of our favorite picks.
