Since 2009, Rubblebucket has been on the border of breaking out. Last year’s Omega La La garned praise across the board from Paste Magazine, Blurt, and Stereogum. Some critics went as far as describing the band’s upbeat, multifaceted sound “Yes Wave,” in opposition to the nihilistic, late-70s New York genre. It hasn’t been an easy journey. Four years in the making, a relocation, an EP, and some much warranted praise (SPIN hailed the band as a “must-hear artist from the CMJ Festival” in 2009), the band finally delivered on Omega La La. Known for their blurring lines between psychedelic indie rock, upbeat dance, and radiant, left-field arrangements, the group plays tonight at Brick & Mortar Music Hall. Not only can you get tickets through our app, but enjoy a private Thrillcall booth.
