Unbeknownst to me (unfortunately), Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros made an appearance with members of Mumford & Sons and Old Crow Medicine Show at SXSW’s Film Conference portion for the world premier of the film, Big Easy Express. The Emmett Malloy directed film covered the bands’ journey as they traveled in vintage railcars across the American Southwest over the course of a week, playing concerts at six unique outdoor locations along the route.
Following the performance, the group has announced a nationwide tour starting in Oakland, CA at the Fox Theatre on May 2nd. In addition to playing some of the biggest and most notable venues across the US, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros will perform alongside Dave Matthews in Woodland, TX.
