Welcome to the lineup reveal for Summerfest 2012, the massive 11-day festival that runs from June 27th through July 8th, 2012 on the shore of Lake Michigan. It would be an exhausting effort to list all the bands playing the self-proclaimed World’s Largest Music Festival, but the teaser image lists a small cross-section of what to expect: The Avett Brothers, Common, and Joy Formidable made the cut on one of many graduated lineup reveals this week. Hit the festival’s lineup page for full info as it’s revealed.
Summerfest is also one of the best deals on the festival circuit right now. On its 45th anniversary, you can buy a Power Pass for $45, which grants you general admission to all 11 days of the festival at what amounts to pennies per featured musical act. Individual day tickets are $16 apiece, which makes it well worth it to pull the trigger on the Power Pass if you’re even mildly dedicated to spending time at this event.
Our advice: jump on the packaged ticket early and wait to be surprised and delighted by future lineup announcements. With hundreds of artists and 11 days of music, you’re bound to end up with plenty of choices.
