Ed Droste, founding member and vocalist of Grizzly Bear, has announced on Twitter that the band will release the much-anticipated followup to 2009’s Veckatimest by the end of this year. They will support the yet-unnamed album with a world tour that will span the United States, Europe and Australia by the time 2012 is up.
Droste goes on to clarify that he didn’t mean to rule out the rest of the world–only that he was limited his announcement to what’s already been confirmed. He goes on to tweet a wishlist of locales to include on this tour cycle, teasing the rest of the concert-going world with a coyly open-ended mention of the word “wherever.”
Keep hope alive, Wherever! Grizzly Bear may come to your town by the end of 2012.
