The Creators Project — an interactive, audiovisual festival hosted by Intel and VICE — will kick off the year by holding its first-ever San Francisco event on March 17-18, 2012.

In its third year, The Creators Project will inhabit Fort Mason in San Francisco, featuring dozens of bands, films, workshops and original multimedia works produced by The Studio, The Creators Project’s content-creation studio. Installations will include Origin, a 40-foot by 40-foot audiovisual installation by United Visual Artists which appeared at Creators Project New York, as well as plenty of installations that will be new to the SF edition.

We don’t know many details yet – line-up, schedule and RSVP info will be released in the coming weeks – but we do know the event will be totally free, if previous editions are any indication. And based on our experience last time (see our photo review and our interview with Justice at the NY event), we’re giddy with anticipation to see how this one unfolds. Stay tuned!
