August Burns Red held down the headlining stage at Warped Tour last year, but while we were busy running fan meet and greets for stagemates Sum 41 and Asking Alexandria at almost every tour stop, we were never able to cross paths with the good dudes in ABR. But now, we make amends: we’re giving away two tickets to see ABR on 2/5/2012 at The Regency Ballroom in San Francisco, where they’ll be supported by Silverstein, Texas in July and I the Breather.
Entry is criminally simple:
Follow us on Twitter and tell us who your favorite member is and why (whether it’s slamming riffs or striking good looks – we don’t judge!). Be sure to include @Thrillcall, @ABRband and @RegencyBallroom in your tweet! We’ll close the contest at 4pm PST on 1/31/12, and pick one random reply to win two (2) free tickets to this Sunday’s show.
That’s it! Tweet away: Tweet #AugustBurnsRed
We personally can’t wait for this tour. When we interviewed guitarist/vocalist JB Brubaker last week, he told us the tour will feature the longest ABR sets ever:
BRUBAKER: One of the things that we’re stoked about is that we get to play as long as we want. It’s a headlining tour, as opposed to a 40-minute set on Warped, and before that we did a co-headlining spot with Bring Me The Horizon on the AP tour so we only got to play about 45-minutes. This will easily be the longest set of our career. We have 4 albums and there are songs we kinda have to do every night, so it’ll be nice to play songs that we don’t usually get to play.
