Andrew Bird will play the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago in December.

Andrew Bird has scheduled two appearances at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, but don’t expect a traditional concert in any sense of the word. Bird has teamed up with sculptor / instrument-maker Ian Schneller to install handcrafted speakers—made of recycled paper and dryer lint, no less—throughout the installation space. Bird will be running different loops through the speakers and accompanying those loops on violin while patrons freely roam the installation space.
