Hard Haunted Mansion in New York

Twitter, Twitter! Our favorite concerts, haphazardly distilled into 140-character chunks.

Hard Haunted Mansion is just about what it sounds like: a Halloween party which makes no attempt to cater to the faint of heart. The shamelessly loud, thumping dance party, graced by the likes of Fatboy Slim, Soulwax and Skrillex, swallowed up The Shrine Expo in Los Angeles over the weekend, and clearly shenanigans were had by all:

I don’t even know what that means, but I like it. @USSBromander hints at what could have only been a truly bizarre and awesome costume (Rambo Granny?), but there aren’t enough details to know for sure. The possibilities are tantalizing.

He certainly wasn’t the only one getting his guise on. Skrillex (himself represented fairly well in the audience’s costumes) took a brief reprise from the show to answer hard-hitting questions about his Halloween getup:

When in doubt, dress as the thing closest to you right before you leave the house. Of course, there was plenty more mischievousness to be had – after all, it makes sense to rage hardest when nobody will recognize you the next day (though we’re SURE you would never make an ass of yourself, dear reader – you’re much classier than that, right?).

I need confirmation on whether this line works, for uh…personal reasons.

That’s it for today, but keep it in mind for next year…
