Drake will tour with A$AP Rocky and Kendrick Lamar in 2011.

Drake will call upon Kendrick Lamar and ASAP Rocky to support his six-date tour of college campuses on the East Coast. MTV reports that the artist “fought for” dates in small college venues as a nod to the demographic that supported his early career:

“I fought for this tour, I fought really hard for this tour because, of course, they want me to go get the big bucks, go into the stadiums and cash out,” Drake revealed to MTV News. “But I was just like, ‘I really made this album for the same people that supported me since day one.’ “

Of course, there’s no reason Drake won’t book a stadium tour and get his money in due time, but it’s nice to see him keep things as accessible as possible as a way to thank his fanbase. Dates are as follows:

11/09/11 – Schottenstein Center [Columbus, OH]
11/10/11 – Bryce Jordan Center [University Park, PA]
11/13/11 – Assembly Hall [Champaign, IL]
11/15/11 – Patriot Center – [Fairfax, VA]
11/19/11 – Colonial Life Arena – [Columbia, SC]
11/20/11 – Greensboro Coliseum – [Greensboro, NC]

You can catch the Drake tour while tickets are still reasonably priced.  When that same ticket goes for a three-digit figure the next time he rolls around, well – don’t say we didn’t warn you.
