Josiah Leming Live Review

Remember that Lady Gaga “Paparazzi” cover the youngin’ who got ‘youtube-famous’ performed at his school talent show? Well, Josiah Leming’s live performances are reminiscent of that “loving you is cherry pie” rendition, where the entire crowd is simultaneously jaw-dropped and gobsmacked at the pure power that erupts from such a ‘sweet young thing.’ Like young Chance, Josiah Leming also made an appearance on the Ellen Degeneres show, and told his story about trying his hand on America’s talent show, (meaning season 7 of “American Idol,”) and although he didn’t take gold… I can promise you his heart is certainly made of it. For months before Idol, Josiah had been living in his car, traveling around the country and playing music after he dropped out of high school. But enough about the past…

Josiah Leming Live Review

I’ve never been to a show where the headliner takes the time to stare into each and every pair of eyes to stir the soul and drag up every emotion no one knew you had. Ballads for scorned lovers, fears of failure, and odes to loneliness; this 22 year-old Josiah Leming has the true makings of a star. He has it: the masterful song writing ability, and a passionate voice that puts “the Biebs” to shame, oh and there’s also the fact that he’s alone on stage, splitting his time between a guitar and an electric keyboard. As you’ll see from any of his live performances, he’s got enough piano-stool rocking expertise to rival Mr. Chris Martin of Coldplay. Personable, valuable, I spent my time between songs wondering how in the hell this guy didn’t WIN American Idol those few years back? If time was what was missing, Josiah Leming is ripe and ready to be the next big thing.
